Senneh Rug, Dimension 113cm x 70cm

Senneh is a Kurdish city in Kurdistan in Northwest Persia that is well known for very fine antique rugs and kilims. Primarily Senneh rugs are of cotton foundation and uses symmetrical knots and single wefted. The warps from time to time dyed in very colourful bands. The Senneh designs has both all over herati and/or with central medallions. The Senneh rugs, runners and carpets are of excellent quality, some older pieces are very valuable and durable. Most of the rugs, runners and carpets employs vegetable dyed and use soft wool with thin tight piles. The number of knots is anyway from 120 KPSI to 400 KPSI
