About Ardabil Rugs

Ardabil is a town in the north western region of Persia. Ardabil rugs are predominantly geometric designs having motifs woven, very similar to Caucasian rugs, but with more motifs and objects woven into the borders and it is tend to be lighter in their colour. Fine wool are used in the design with tight good textured piles. Asymmetrical knot are primarily used with an average 120 Persian Knots per square inch. Many different grades of rugs made ranging from medium to fine. The productions are from tribal and village.
