About Aqche Rugs

The Aqche Rugs are handmade by the Turkomans living in the northern region of Afghanistan. These rugs normally employs dark shades and motifs. The material employs in the designs are wool, goat and horse hair.

The primary colour is deep red in all varied shades such as rust or vine. The motifs used are the octagons and are called rose and elephant foot and stylised flowers in dark blue
